Visit 1: Consultation
Your first visit is a consultation, but it can be combined with the second visit if you want to start sooner. The dentist will assess whether Invisalign is suitable for you, discuss any pre-treatment needs, explain potential side effects, and review possible outcomes.
Visit 2: Records and
Radiographs
During this visit, the dentist will take necessary photographic records, impressions (if required), and radiographs. These steps are essential before beginning orthodontic treatment. In some cases, additional treatment may be needed before starting Invisalign/Clear Aligners.
Visit 3: Treatment Plan and Aligners
For Invisalign (or other clear aligners like Clear Correct), the dentist will present a mock-up of your treatment journey. You'll see how your teeth will likely shift, the number of aligners needed, the treatment duration, and the next steps. If you decide to proceed, your aligners will be ordered and you'll return in 2-4 weeks to start treatment.
For other treatment options (like braces or removable appliances), this visit marks the beginning of the treatment process. Braces will be placed on the teeth, or the appliance will be provided with instructions on its use and what to expect.
