INVISALIGN AND BRACES.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Have you had orthodontics before? Did the teeth start moving again? Or maybe you have only considered having them straightened. Either way, allow us to walk you through the process and what you can expect from your appointments. From the consult to the post treatment care, we will be here to make sure we can answer all your questions.

Visit 1:

Your first visit will be a consultation although it can be coupled with visit 2 if you wish to get started sooner. During this appointment the dentist will assess the suitability of your case for teeth alignment and what might be most appropriate to your condition. The doctor will discuss your options with you and any pre-treatment that may be required. He/She will also explain any potential side effects and outcomes.

Visit 2:

During this visit, the dentist will take some photographic records, impressions (if required) and radiographs. These are the necessary steps before any orthodontic treatment can commence. In some cases, the dentist may identify other treatment that is required before orthodontics can begin.

Visit 3:

Invisalign/Clear Correct (+ Other Clear Aligner Systems) – During this visit, the dentist will show you the mock-up treatment journey of how your teeth are likely to respond, how many aligners are required, how long it is likely to take and what the next steps are. If the decision to commence treatment has been made, then the aligners are ordered and you will be required to return 2-4 weeks later to commence treatment.
Other Treatment Options – This visit is the beginning of treatment for many forms of orthodontic treatments. Unlike the clear aligner systems, these methods do not require an additional visit. In the case of braces, this is the visit where they are put onto the teeth. For removable appliances, this is when the appliance is issued and instructions are given on how the device operates and what to expect.

Payment Arrangements:

For orthodontic treatments and any other dental treatment, we offer access to several payment plans. These plans are no-interest payment solutions, which will span over an extended period of time, allowing you to pay fortnightly for your treatment. They have a $39 set up fee, and take minutes to get underway. If you have any questions or concerns, please call one of our friendly staff members on (03) 9729 0868.
